Every airport handles lost and found differently. For this reason, we have compiled a list of airport lost and found information for  some of the most trafficked airports in the world. Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • For items left on airplanes, contact the airline lost and found directly
  • For items left at TSA security point, contact the airport TSA lost and found departments

Location:
International Terminal (T1):
Main office location: Level 3 of the International terminal (above check in counters A and B). Turn right once coming out of the lift. Main office hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

After hours office location: Adjacent to the main lost property office. Turn left once coming out of the lift and follow the signs to ‘After hours Sydney Airport reception’. After hours: 6am-8.30am and 5pm-11pm Monday to Friday and 6am-11pm Saturday to Sunday

Domestic Terminal (T3) Qantas
Items lost or found within T3 Qantas Domestic Terminal are managed by Qantas. Please contact Qantas Airways directly on +61 2 9952 9312.

Terminal D: Travelers Aid – Terminal E office located lower level, outside of security

Each airline also has a small internal lost and found – usually located in their baggage office or behind their ticket counters.

Travelers Aid:  Mon. – Fri. are 8 am – 6 pm and Sat. and Sun. 9 am – 5 pm
American Airlines Lost and Found:  9:30 am – 6 pm seven days a week
